Network Global Migration Studies smallIt is widely acknowledged that migration is a global phenomenon and that the complex field of migration can only be understood in the context of global political, economic and social processes of change.

The conference strives to focus on migration as a global challenge: we want to shed light on the interconnectedness of issues of global concerns and their impacts on national and local societies. In an attempt to establish cross- and transregional perspectives that avoid eurocentrism, the conference brings together central research agendas from various geographical regions and connects them to ongoing international and national debates.
